Until now, visitors had to piece together information from the web and various publications to plan their wine tour getaway. This author has created a guidebook that makes it easy to get out there and experience Washington’s remarkable wine country regions.

Books will be available for sale and a book signing will follow the event.

The author of The Barefoot Home and coauthor of Inside the Not So Big House explores design trends that are shaping the way we live in our homes.  His program will include topics such as: The New Informality, Home as Haven, Design for the Way We Really Live, The Softer Side of Modern, Sustainability, as well as trends such as New Urbanism and The Not So Big House. His focus is the Not So Big philosophy of building better not bigger.

Scientists agree that by the end of the century the polar bear will be the first mammal threatened with extinction due to climate change. The Last Polar Bear is the first book to fully document that story. The fate of these beautiful wild animals is a wake-up call – compelling us to act now to stem global warming. Through wildlife photographer Steven Kazlowski’s unparalleled imagery, the most critical environmental issue of our time is brought to life.

Are you ready for the wilderness? Is the wilderness ready for you? Join us for a frank and funny evening with Jennifer as she chats about particularly sassy sections in Backcountry Betty: Roughing It in Style. Learn how to trick out your fleece, zest up your camp food and campsite, entertain in the wild and cope with every hygiene issue imaginable. Jennifer will even demonstrate how to pack the perfect backpack, loading it up with products that do double duty. The evening will conclude with a frank Q&A and book signing. Jennifer is the author of 19 books on dating, pop culture and crafts, including The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook: Dating & Sex.

Seattle author Shortridge’s new book, Love and Biology at the Center of the Universe, follows the story of Mira Serafino, whose perfect world is shattered when she learns that her husband has been seeing another woman. Hoping to hide this from everyone, including her big Italian family, she heads north, stopping only when her car breaks down in Seattle. Mira takes a job at the offbeat Coffee Shop at the Center of the Universe, where she’ll experience a terrifying but invigorating freedom, and meet someone she’ll come to love: the new Mira.

Sandra Gulland's internationally acclaimed Josephine B. Trilogy established an entirely new gold standard for the art of historical fiction. Her newest book, Mistress of the Sun, is based on the life of Louise de la Vallière, a horsewoman and mysterious consort of France’s King Louis XIV, the Sun King.

Before their reading the authors will visit the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market. Come and hear their story and their thoughts on how to shop the Market to sustain your goal of eating locally!
