Libraries Offering Tax Assistance
The following is a list of KCLS Libraries offering free tax assistance. This

Some of the IRS e-filing options require selecting and loading the Java-supported Internet from our stations. Please prepare your taxes in advance for e-filing and be prepared to possibly make more than one reservation.
Auburn Library
Auburn Library’s AARP Tax-Aide program will be held on Tuesdays, from 4-9pm, starting February 2nd and going through April 13th. Sign-up is required.
Bellevue Library
Tax assistance begins February 2nd - Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-5pm and Saturdays 10:30am-5pm.
There will be no tax assistance on Saturday March 6th.
Bothell Library
Tax Help at the Bothell Library 2010 is every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Feb. 5 - Apr. 15, 10 am-3pm. Schedule an appointment with a AARP Tax Help Volunteer at the library by calling the Northshore Senior Center, 425-486-4564. Appointments have priority; walk-ins will be accommodated as time permits. Bring your last year's tax return and all information needed to fill out your tax return. All returns must be completed on a computer and electronically filed. We ask for your patience in order to be fair to everyone. There is no charge for this service.
Burien Library
Beginning February 3rd, tax assistance will be available on Wednesdays, 5-8pm and Saturdays, 10pm-1pm and 1pm-4pm. Last day for tax assistance is Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Help is provided on a first come, first served basis. No appointments are taken. Bring a copy of last year's tax return and any current tax documents with you.
Covington Library
AARP volunteers will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm by appointment starting February 8 ending April 10. Appointments can be made one week in advance by calling the library at (253) 630-8761. No complex or business returns. Preference for senior citizens and low income filers.
Des Moines Library
Tax help will be available at Des Moines Library as follows:
Every Wednesdays (from 5:45-9 pm), starting 2/3/2010 and ending 4/14/2010, except 2/24/2010, 3/3/2010, and 3/24/2010
Every Thursday (from 12:15-6 pm), starting 2/4/2010 and ending 4/15/2010.
Appointments are required. Beginning each Monday, appointments will be accepted for the current week only. Call 206.824.6066 or stop by the library to make an appointment.
Fairwood Library
Fairwood Library: Free Tax Assistance, offered by the AARP, is available starting Monday, February 1. Help is available Mondays and Fridays (afternoon/evening). There are Friday morning appointments beginning in March. No complex or business returns. Sign-up is required - please call 425.226.0522.
Federal Way 320th Library
Tax assistance begins February 6th - Saturdays, 10am-3pm, Free tax help by trained and certified tax-aide volunteers.
Lake Hills Library
Tax assistance begins February 6th - Saturdays, 10:30am-4pm thru April 10. AARP will provide free tax assistance preparation to those in need. No appointments are taken; first come, first served. Bring a copy of last year's tax return and any current tax documents with you.
Redmond Library
Tax assistance begins Saturday, February 6th, 10am-3pm and will continue every Saturday through April 10th . AARP volunteers will provide free tax assistance preparation to those in need. Help is provided on a first come, first served basis. No appointments are taken. Bring a copy of last year's tax return and any current tax documents with you.
Richmond Beach Library
AARP/IRS will sponsor free tax help every Friday, beginning February 4th through April 15th. Individuals can schedule appointments by calling the Shoreline Senior Center at 206-365-1536. Walk-ins will be accommodated as time permits.
Shoreline Library
Tax assistance begins February 3rd - Wednesdays Feb 3 - April 14- 4:30-8pm,
Saturdays, Feb 6- April 10, Noon-4pm.
Free assistance provided by AARP/IRS. Bring last year's tax return.
Electronic filing will be available. No preregistration or appointments.
Skyway Library
Tax assistance begins February 2nd - Tuesdays, 1-6:30pm, sign up for a free tax appointment at the Information Desk or call 206.772.5541. Last appointment at 5:30pm.
Woodmont Library
Beginning February 1, tax help will be available Wednesdays, Noon-4pm; Saturdays 10am-2pm and some Thursday evenings, 5:30-8:30pm. Appointments are required. Beginning each Monday, appointments will be accepted for the current week only. Call 253.839.0121 or come in to make an appointment.
