Board Member Biographies
About Jessica Bonebright:Jessica Bonebright joined the KCLS Board of Trustees in 2006. She currently lives in Tukwila and serves on the Board of Directors for United Way of King County and the King County Labor Council. Formerly a Boeing Engineer, she currently works as the Research Director for SPEEA, the labor union representing Boeing engineers and technical workers.
She was raised in South Dakota and graduated from San Diego State with a degree in Electrical Engineering. She loves reading, traveling and outdoor activities especially gardening, bird watching and water sports. She has regularly used several different King County libraries since moving to the area in 1987. She feels strongly about lifelong learning and the ability of individuals to educate themselves by taking advantage of our wonderful local libraries.
Lucy Krakowiak was appointed to the KCLS Board of Trustees in 2005. She is passionate about learning and believes libraries are a great resource for knowledge. When she learned of the chance to serve on the Board of Trustees she saw it as an opportunity to participate in the process of continuing to make information and ideas available to as many people as possible, ultimately making this a better world to live in.
Lucy’s hometown is Kailua, Oahu (Hawaii), but she has lived in Burien, WA since 1987. She works as a massage therapist specializing in CranioSacral Therapy and is also a member of the Burien City Council. She graduated from Oregon State University with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. She has a Jack Russell Terrier, a Boxer, 2 ducks, a chicken and a goldfish. Her favorites include:

- The film Harold & Maude
- Vietnamese food
LeRoy McCullough was appointed to the KCLS Board of Trustees in 2004. He is passionate about youth outreach and community service. When he learned of the chance to serve on the Board of Trustees he saw it as an opportunity to increase his knowledge base about the Library System.
LeRoy hails from South Carolina, but currently lives in Fairwood (unincorporated South King County). He works as a judge at the Regional Justice Center in Kent. He graduated from University of Washington (UW) as an undergraduate with a major in history and a minor political science and attended the UW Law School. His hobbies include reading, northwest travel/hiking, camping with family, music, sports and landscape/still photography. He loves to watch tennis, basketball, soccer and Olympic-theme swimming, but hates watching golf. His favorites include:
- Author(s): Ernest Gaines and Toni Morrison
- Music: sacred/choral music, reggae and international/world music (Africa & South America)
- August Wilson’s plays and other stage productions
- Movies: political thrillers like “Z,” and movies with Dorothy Dandridge, Lena Horne and Harry Belafonte
- Food: Creole, Soul Food, Italian and Thai
- Vacation Spot: St. Thomas, Virgin Islands
Charlotte Spitzer was appointed to the KCLS Board of Trustees in 1998. She is very active in the community, the Puget Sound area and the world. She has served on the Jewish Family Service Board and worked on behalf of the National Councils of Jewish Federations. She and her late husband Jack established a leadership award program for young people, which involve 250-300 people at a time. Charlotte has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and she received a Commonwealth Fund Fellowship to Columbia University, where she received a Master’s Degree in psychiatric social work. She served on the University of Washington’s School of Social Work Visiting Committee. Charlotte lives in Kirkland.
About Judge Richard Eadie:
Richard Eadie joined the KCLS Board of Trustees in 2002. He has been a judge of the King County Superior Court since 1995, serving as Presiding Judge from 2002-2006 and President of the National Conference of Metropolitan Courts in 2004.
Judge Eadie is a lifelong resident of King County, graduating from the University of Washington and its School of Law. He lives with his wife in the City of Shoreline, where both have been involved in many community organizations.
Judge Eadie has a particular commitment to lifelong learning, Adult Basic Education and to KCLS providing these resources to our community.
