Opportunity.
The King County Library System (KCLS) is holding community meetings to discuss proposed strategic plans and budget allocations for the coming year. Budget priorities set by the Library Board of Trustees for 2010 include:
- Providing convenient access to library services and resources in the library, online and beyond the library building
- Ensuring safe and welcoming libraries that encourage learning, inspiration, and community
- Supporting community-based service planning to meet local needs
- Engaging the staff through effective communication, organizational involvement, and development opportunities
- Maintaining an effective long-term financial strategy that creates value for the public support of the System
Community meetings provide an important opportunity for public discussion and to offer help shaping the future of the King County Library System.
