Planning for the new 8,000 square foot Duvall Library is underway. The $4.39 million new library will include more materials, computers, space for children and teens and a community meeting room.

Over the past month KCLS made considerable progress on finalizing details for the site where the new Duvall Library will be built. KCLS and the Duvall Church have reached substantial agreement on a land lease that allows for construction of the Library and access to parking. Locating the Library on surplus church property is strongly supported by the City of Duvall. Since much of the infrastructure is already in place, building a Library on the site will cost less than developing the property that KCLS owns farther south on Highway 202. If all goes as planned, KCLS should be able to proceed with design work this year.
