December 2009
Interior enhancements have been completed, including reconfiguration of the meeting room, which is now open to the public.
November 2009
Reconfiguration of the meeting room continues, and the installation of sliding doors will be under way soon. The reference desk area has been reconfigured and LED shelf lighting will soon be installed. The temporary construction wall will be taken down on the evening of Dec. 6, in order to not affect library operations. Project completion is anticipated for mid-December.
October 2009
Following a closure October 12-16 to reconfigure the reference desk area, demolish the wall between the meeting room and the Children’s Area and to erect a temporary wall to isolate construction activities, the library was reopened and general construction of the new glass partition and rolling door has proceeded as planned. Completion of all construction, including adjusting the height of the reference shelving and installation of LED shelf lighting, is anticipated for early December.
August 2009
The bidding process is under way for the exterior painting project at Issaquah Library. The painting is expected to be completed by the end of September.
July 2009
Interior improvements continue and the meeting room will soon be reconfigured.
