The Details:
The planning and design process for the new 10,000 square foot Kenmore Library is underway. Property for the $10.49 million project was purchased at a highly visible and accessible site. The new library will include books, materials, computers, space for children and teens and a community meeting room.

The design process for the new Kenmore Library has progressed and construction may begin early next year. However, this is still dependent on the relocation of the Postal Station that is currently located at the site of the new Library. Although two public meetings were previous held, KCLS is now scheduling a third public meeting to specifically discuss the Postal Station relocation, which may delay the process.
