Kirkland Library Construction Project

The Details:
Construction of the expanded Kirkland Library is nearing completion. The $3.29 million plan includes a 4,000 square foot expansion of the current 15,000 square foot library, as well as more materials, computers, wireless access and space for children and teens. The plan also includes three meeting rooms.

  • Project Status: Nearing completion, opening December 5, 2009
  • Expected Completion Date: Early December 2009
  • Library Address: Existing site, at 308 Kirkland Avenue
  • Architect: Ruffcorn Mott Hinthorne Stine
  • Contractor: Kirtley Cole
  • Service: During construction, a temporary site will be available at Parkplace Books, offering a book drop, holds pick-up area, wireless access, six computer terminals and a small browsing collection. More information
