Will the building design include meeting and conference rooms?
Yes, the preliminary designs for the expanded Kirkland Library include two to three new conference or study rooms for use by patrons. The existing meeting room also will remain.

Will library service be maintained during construction?
Providing interim library service in downtown Kirkland during the duration of construction is being assessed, but many services must be temporarily put on hold. We are currently evaluating the feasibility of providing a temporary location for library programs, and possibly holds pick-up, but must balance convenience with cost concerns. Patrons are encouraged to visit any KCLS library for full service while their regular site is under construction. Please refer to the KCLS Modified Services policy.
