The design process for a new 10,000 square foot Newcastle Library is underway. The $5.8 million library will include books, materials, computers, space for children and teens and a community meeting room.

Planning for the Newcastle Library continues. KCLS has committed to incorporating the space that was once designated as “retail” into the Library, making the projected size of the Library approximately 11,500 square feet. The additional 1,500 square feet will be located in front of the Library and will greatly enhance the Library’s visibility. The current schedule has the start of construction slated for March 2010.
