Redmond Regional: Monthly Update Archives

July 2005
Meetings are scheduled to discuss short term and long term parking capacity planning for KCLS and the City. The addendum to the Interlocal Agreement regarding the City Hall development in progress and KCLS’ plans for future parking expansion and temporary parking construction needs continues to be discussed.

June 2005
A draft of the Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with the City with new changes was prepared and sent to the City staff for comment. The ILA needs to be modified to allow the City of have reciprocal access to the library’s parking and driveway and for KCLS to have the same privilege for the new City Hall parking lot. In addition, when KCLS develops structured parking, temporary parking for the staff and the public will be needed in the new garage structure that the City is building. Staff from the City responded with their counter proposals on the immediate parking changes, but has not been as clear about longer term needs and construction impacts. I am working with Preston Gates & Ellis to develop our response.
