Friends of the Bothell Library

The Friends of the Bothell Library is an organization of interested citizens who care deeply about the importance of good library service in this community and believe that the library is a dynamic educational force and a cultural and research center for the community. Members support the library when needed. The purpose of the organization is to foster relations between the library and citizens of the community and to promote knowledge of the functions, resources, services and needs of the library.

The Friends of the Bothell Library raise money to pay for programs, artwork, books, equipment and other materials not funded by the King County Library System. Members and other volunteers work at the annual Book Sales held in the Meeting Room at the Library and with the on-going book sale, The Book Cart.

They also volunteer on a regular basis in the library. The Friends encourage volunteering at the Library, at Book Sales and for special projects, such as mailings for library bond and levy campaigns. They welcome the support of everyone who appreciates Library services.

Did you know:

1. That you can donate used books year-round? And donations are tax-deductible! Just ask at the checkout desk.

2. That the local history Squak Slough, 1870-1920 by Amy Stickney and Lucile McDonald was published by the Friends of the Bothell Library? Copies are for sale at the library.

3. That 8 out the 9 pieces of art in the library were commissioned and funded by the Friends? Ask at the information desk for the new full-color brochure about our art collection.

To become a member of the Friends of the Bothell Library, simply pick-up a membership form at the Bothell Library. An annual Individual membership costs $5, while a Family membership is $15.
