Dianne will read excerpts from Thicker Than Water, her current work in progress, a memoir of her special relationship with an eccentric aunt whose long, resilient, friend-filled life belied a 70-year struggle with the stigma and challenges of mental illness. Dianne will also read a selection from The Eye Is Not Enough: On Seeing and Remembering, a collaboration with visual artist M.L. Hess, re-issued in paperback in 2012. Join the author in a discussion after the reading.
