In this workshop, Art Dreeben of TRAC Associates will provide guidance and methodologies for conducting a successful search in today’s challenging employment environment. Be presented with effective resume approaches, networking techniques and current interviewing styles and proposed strategies, all from a global perspective. Art has over 16 years as a consultant in the career development field, 5 as an Executive Recruiter and the last 11 as an Employment Specialist with TRAC Associates.

DNA and Genealogy

Genealogists have been researching using paper records for centuries, and new technology has only made it better. With DNA testing becoming available and affordable, opportunities await for those who are seeking answers to questions about their heritage. Learn (in plain English!) the basics of the DNA molecule, how it can help you discover your roots, the best companies to test with, and how to join with others to find a common heritage.

Redmond Reads Poetry: Jack Straw Writers

The Redmond Library hosts a 2013 Jack Straw Reading featuring four
prominent local poets. This will be the final event of the season for the Redmond Poet Laureate. The four writers will be Larry Crist, Emily Perez, Dennis Caswell and Jeannine Hall Gailey (Redmond's Poet Laureate.) All have published widely and their poetry will be available to peruse or purchase. Refreshments will be available.

Introduction to Origami for Adults

Origami artists from PAPER will be teaching a two session introduction to origami for adults at the Redmond Library. In this class learn the basic folds, read origami diagrams and create a few wonderfully fun pieces to take home. All models will be simply explained and easy to fold. Materials will be provided by PAPER.

You must register online or by call 425.885.1861. If you plan to attend both sessions of the class (June 15 and 22) please sign up for each session separately.
