World Languages Options in KCLS Databases

Are you learning a new language? Is English not your first language?  Many KCLS databases offer content and features you’ll find useful.

ABI/INFORM Trade & Industry

• Change the search interface to different languages via the 'Interface Language' menu in the top right corner of the screen.
• Available interface languages include Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, and Turkish.
• Translate articles using the 'Translate Document From' function on the right side of the screen.

Adult Education and Career Center

• Career help is available in English and Spanish.
• Select your language you would like help in from the 'Language' menu in the middle of the screen. 

Biography in Context

• Translate articles using the 'Translate' function in the 'Tools' box.
• Available languages for translation include Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

 BookFLIX

• Watch or read a children's book in either English or Spanish.
• To watch or read a book in Spanish, click on 'Resources' in the top right of the screen, then sort by 'Spanish,' select a book, and then click on the link for 'Espanol' .

Britannica Online

• Translate words from Spanish to English using the 'Spanish-English Dictionary' located on the left of the screen in the 'Research Tools' box.
