Des Moines Library Volunteers

How to Help.
Volunteers assist with a variety of tasks. If youre interested in working at least two hours a week, please call the library at 206-824-6066 to see if we're currently accepting volunteers.

Be a NetMaster for Des Moines Library.
If you're familiar with computers, the Internet and/or Microsoft Office products and want to share your knowledge with others, become a NetMaster. This program teaches you how to teach others and gives you the information necessary to meet the responsibility of representing the King County Library System. You must attend one training session, and you'll be expected to teach four one- to two-hour classes using our training materials. Find out more about the NetMaster program.

Interested in volunteering to be a tutor?
Be a Study Zone leader! The Study Zone needs dedicated volunteers to help students with their homework.  The minimum commitment is 2 hours, one day per week.  Academic community service credit is available for high school juniors and seniors and college students. Training and support are provided. Learn More
