Fairwood Library Afternoon Book Group

The Fairwood Library Book Group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 11:30am in the Meeting Room. The meetings usually last 1 1/2 hours.

2009 Schedule:

June 10 -- Call if you need me : the uncollected fiction and prose by Raymond Carver
July 8 -- Book cafe, bring whatever book you would like to talk about. The July meeting will be held offsite from the library.  Please call for directions, 425-226-0522.
August 12 -- Book cafe, bring whatever book you would like to talk about.
Sep 9 -- "Gentlemen of the Road" by Michael Chabon
Oct 14-- !Book and Movie Month! -- "Sense and Sensibility" by Jane Austen -- Book version will be the 2003 Penguin Classics updated edition
-- Edited with an Introduction by Ros Ballaster, also with the original 1969 Penguin Classics Introduction by Tony Tanner -- "Sense and Sensibility" movie versions: 2008 BBC Video miniseries DVD (174 minutes) and/or 1995 Emma Thompson/Kate Winslet movie DVD
Nov 11 --  "Bridge of Sighs" by Richard Russo The November meeting will be held offsite from the library.  Please call for directions, 425-226-0522.
