Fairwood is a community of approximately 25,000 people located east of Renton. It is a predominantly residential community with the main retail area along SE Petrovitsky Road and 140th Way SE.
Fairwood is in the process of deciding whether to incorporate as a city or annex to the city of Renton. The most recent report regarding this issue is the “City of Fairwood Incorporation Study Final Report” from April 13, 2009.
