Friend of the Year
Without the support of the numerous individuals who volunteer their time and talents through their neighborhood Friends of the Library groups, many innovative programs and services would not exist. Each year on Friends Day, we recognize the outstanding contributions of the amazing volunteers who make our libraries the heart of the community.
Scholarships
The Foundation values the contribution of our talented and dedicated librarians and provides scholarships for KCLS employees to return to school to get their master's degree in library science.
You can help support future generations of librarians through your donations to the KCLS Foundation, which may be designated for the Scholarship Program. A donation to the Scholarship Program is also a wonderful tribute in honor of current and former colleagues, and as tributes for retirement events.
