What is this book about?
It mainly centers on the journeys of Uncle Tom, a slave who is passed from one owner to the next in a way reminiscent of Black Beauty.
What do you like/dislike about it?
It has spirit, obviously, since it sparked such feeling among north and south; it made people look at the slave not as an issue, but as a human being. Anyways, I enjoyed the humor, tragedy, romance and action of this great novel. it's a bit too "womanly" for my taste and the modern reader will find it dated to a small degree. However, I liked it despite these, and you should, too.
Who would enjoy reading it?
