approximately 2,800 lantern slides offering an historical view of American
buildings and landscapes built from 1850-1920. In addition to photographs,
included are plans, maps, and models.
Architecture
and Interior Design for 20th Century America
From the Library of Congress, this site provides over 29,000 images
of the interiors and exteriors of homes, stores, offices, factories,
historic buildings, and other structures primarily in the northeastern
United States. Included are the homes of notable Americans and several
U.S. presidents, as well as color images of the 1939-40 New York World's
Fair.
Cities/Buildings Database
Over 5,000 searchable images taken from architects' original slides
and drawings of buildings and cities from across time and throughout
the world. Provided by the architecture department of the University
of Washington.

From CNN, this site provides a virtual tour of the seven wonders of
the ancient world. These include the pyramids of Egypt, the Hanging
Gardens of Babylon, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Temple of Artemis,
the Statue of Zeus, the Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
A Digital Archive of American Architecture
From Boston College, this site provides timelines and chronologies of
American architecture from the 17th century onward. Includes images
of buildings, biographies of architects, much on Frank Lloyd Wright,
building types, and more.
