Mark Harden’s Artchive
The art works on this comprehensive site can be accessed by artist's name, artistic movement or historical period. Includes articles, pictures of their works and a bibliography for each artist. An analysis of many famous works may be found under "Theory and Criticism".

National Gallery of Art
Locate works of art that are in the National Galler's collection, by artist, title and subject. Includes images and information on over 100,000 objects in the Gallery's collection. There is a special section of aft activities and projects for children.
