This site, by Associate Professor Fred Senese of the Frostburg State University (Maryland) Chemistry Department, provides numerous online resources for understanding general chemistry. A library of over 800 common compounds, tutorials, and FAQ's, are included as well as a glossary and researchable database of more than 400 links to general chemistry web references.

It's Elemental - Element Flash Cards
Jefferson Lab, which is affiliated with the U.S. Dept. of Energy, provides a site for K-12 Science Education. The computer will give you an element and you have to supply its chemical name, its chemical symbol or its atomic number. Other learning games are also available.

Rader’s Chem4Kids!
