This site, from the Smithsonian, provides access to artifacts and national
treasures that the museum has been collecting since the time of the
Civil War. Select Collections to view weapons, a bill of sale for a
slave, a photo of a cotton gin, portraits of key players in the war
and much more. A lengthy timeline is also provided.

Provides a timeline, activities, biographies and images of leaders,
