The ADA Food and Nutrition Information resource covers a variety of
topics including a food pyramid, healthy eating tips, fact sheets for
kids and adults and a good nutrition reading list. The dietary guidelines’
section includes a chronology, food safety and instructions on how to
read a food label. It’s a good site for researching nutrition-related
topics. Some materials are available for free. Others need to be ordered
for a nominal fee.

Addresses the nutritional needs of girls ages 9-13 including the role
of calcium, the food pyramid, reading nutritiional labels and more.

and fact sheets from the FDA, the American Medical Association, and
other organizations. NOAH (The New York Online Access to Health) was
created by the New York Public Library and the New York Academy of Medicine.
Nutrition

Materials from the National Dairy Council supporting nutrition education
for children. It includes brochures, booklets, curriculum aids and posters
designed to teach children about food, nutrition, diet and health. The
Educators section contains lesson plans complete with objectives, materials
lists, instructions and student worksheets. Many of the activities are
interactive and focus on the five food groups.
