Human Rights Reports
Provides human rights reports published by the U.S. Department of State on individual countries for the years 1999-2010.  Each report consists of a one to two-page overview followed by detailed accounts of the local human rights situation and examples of such.

Human Rights in Action!
This United Nations web site introduces children to UN human rights documents and information, including an interactive version of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, FAQs, and stories from children around the world.

News articles, essays, photos, and videos from Human Rights Watch, “one of the world’s leading independent organizations dedicated to defending and protecting human rights.”  Click on Publications to access an annual World Report, which summarizes human rights conditions in more than 90 countries and territories worldwide.
