Key Dates
October 4: Overseas and military ballots mailed.
October 5: Last day for mail and online voter registration and address changes
October 14: Absentee ballots available.
October 16: Absentee ballots mailed to all registered voters.
October 26: Last day of in-person registration for voters
November 3: General Election: Ballots must be postmarked by midnight
Registration and Voting
All registered voters will receive a ballot in the mail 20 days prior to each election that they are eligible to cast a vote. Ballots must be postmarked no later than midnight, November 3.
Voter Registration for in King County Residents - 206-296-VOTE
You can register online if you are at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s licenses or Washington State ID card. To vote in the next election, you must register at least 30 days before Election Day.

Accessible voting 
Voters with disabilities will have the opportunity to cast a private and independent ballot at an accessible voting center. The equipment at these locations provides audio and visual technology which allows voters with limited vision and physical disabilities to vote independently.

24-hour Ballot drop Boxes (no postage required):
A no-cost option to return your mail ballots
King County has ballot drop boxes throughout the county to provide voters with a way to securely return their ballots without the cost of postage.
For the November 3 general, ballot drop boxes will open on Friday, October 16 and close at 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 3.
