Kenmore is located on the northernmost end of Lake Washington. Historically, Kenmore was an active port and served as a gathering place for Native Americans. Today, Kenmore has diverse living opportunities including small acreage, view properties, condominiums and modest apartments - all of which share a scenic orientation to Lake Washington. Kenmore has a major harbor for floatplanes on Lake Washington. With good access to the Lake and Sammamish Slough, Kenmore has excellent recreational opportunities. The community of Kenmore voted to become the city of Kenmore on September 22,1997.
