What Happens At Story Time?

Infant Story Time (ages Newborn to 12 months)
Infants make connections between books and language. Parents and caregivers learn how to use Early Literacy practices at home.

Young Toddler Story Time (ages 12 to 24 months)
Active movement, songs, rhymes, and short stories engage the short attention spans of young toddlers.

Toddler Story Time (ages 24 to 36 months)
Toddlers are ready to listen to longer stories, sing along, and play with words.

Preschooler Story Time (ages 3-5 with an adult)
Stories and activities stimulate your preschooler's imagination, introduce them to words, and teach them how to listen, focus, and behave in a group.

Family Story Time
Family-friendly fun with stories, music, and activities encourages Early Literacy practices in young children.

World Languages Story Times
All are invited to enjoy stories and activities in many languages, including Chinese, Hindi, Korean, and Spanish.

We strive to provide safe and comfortable environments for all ages. However, in libraries - as in any other public place - you must provide continuous supervision for your children.
