Local Government

Lake Forest Park is a residential community of about 12,500. Known for its natural, forested, green setting and plentiful stream corridors running through ravines, it sits on the northwest banks of Lake Washington. Lake Forest Park Towne Centre serves as "Main Street" and is the hub of retail activity in the community. Lake Forest Park also sits on the Burke Gilman Trail, a 27-mile hiking/biking trail that runs along the shoreline of Lake Washington in Lake Forest Park. The trail starts in Seattle at Gasworks Park and connects with the Sammamish Trail which ends at Marymoor Park in Redmond.
