A Reminder to Parents and Child Care Providers: King County Library System and all community libraries strive to provide safe and comfortable environments for people all ages. National Homeschooling Organizations

American Homeschool Association
AHA is a service organization created to network homeschoolers on a national level and provides news and information about homeschooling.

Homeschool Legal Defense Association
HSLDA offers support and information on laws affecting Homeschoolers in America. HLSDA is a Christian based organization but is not exclusive. HLSDA partners with religious and secular groups alike to promote homeschooling.

National Home Education Research Network
NHERI conducts and collects research about homeschooling (home-based education, home schooling), and publishes the research journal called the Home School Researcher.

Greater King County Area and Washington State

Seattle Homeschool Group
The Seattle Homeschool Group is a nonsectarian venue where home educating families can meet and exchange ideas and inspirations.

Teach Parents Association
Teaching Parents Association (TPA) is a local nonprofit organization of homeschooling families based in Western Washington. They are committed to providing access to opportunities and resources for home educators of all races, religions, philosophies, and education styles, including families who are still exploring the homeschool option and seeking further information.
