Professional librarians are now available to answer your questions via a text messaging reference service.
With Text a Librarian, you can text reference questions to librarians using your cell phone or other mobile device.
To ask a question, text 66746, and start your message with the keyword KCLS followed by a space.
For example: KCLS Who won the World Series in 1994?
Text a Librarian is available Monday-Thursday 9am-8:30pm, Friday-Saturday 10am-5:30pm, and Sunday 12pm-5pm.
KCLS does not charge for the service, but standard messaging charges from your cell phone provider may apply.
If you need your answer more quickly, please call The Answer Line at (425) 462-9600.
I need some information but can't get to the Library. What can I do?
The Library can provide short answers to your questions over the phone at any branch, via text message, or through the Electronic Reference form on our web site. Or, we can do more in-depth research for you and hold the information until you come in. The Library also offers online resources that you can access from your home computer if you are a library cardholder.
