Magazines

Several magazines in the KCLS collection cover jazz and improvised music, including:

Down Beat – the venerable granddaddy of all jazz magazines, first established in 1935.

Jazz Times – a more recent and perhaps more pop-oriented jazz magazine.

The Wire – a monthly magazine from England covering the most avant-garde and alternative of jazz.

Databases

The following databases also highlight jazz, albeit focusing on the earlier strains:
