Friends of the Snoqualmie Library
Friends of the Snoqualmie Library is a non-profit group whose purpose is to support the Snoqualmie Library through volunteerism, fund-raising activities, sponsorship of programs and services, and increasing awareness of the library’s vital community role. Membership offers you the opportunity to share your views, donate your time, and lend your talents to make the Snoqualmie Library the best is can be.
We raise money from book sales to fund extra library needs and put on programs for children and adults. We worked hard to get the bond issue passed that allowed our new library to be built, and helped with the site selection and design processes. We provided refreshments and volunteered at the ground-breaking ceremony in December, 2006, and the grand opening in August, 2007. Some of our members volunteer in the library, doing tasks like creating bulletin boards, sorting books on shelves, and cleaning children’s books.
Membership costs $5 for individuals and $10 for families. Members get to preview the books before book sales and attend an annual member celebration. For more information, please call 425-396-7875, or come to a meeting. We generally meet every three months, on a Wednesday evening, in the meeting room of the Snoqualmie Library; if you’d like to attend, call 425-396-7875 to find out the exact date and time of the next meeting.
