Friends, Advisory Boards & Volunteer Opportunities
"Time is never wasted in a library. Libraries are the keepers of our history as well as the promoters of a literate and well-educated future for the people of the world." ~ Grace Meeth
Friends of the Snoqualmie Library is a non-profit group that supports the Snoqualmie Library by volunteering, hosting fund-raising activities, sponsoring programs and services, and increasing awareness of the library's vital community role.
Our Annual Book Sale and Silent Auction is our main fund-raising event held every year in early summer. Proceeds from that, and from our ongoing in-library book sales, go directly to funding library programs for children, teens and adults, and for supporting the library in general.
Book donations are always welcome! All book donations are tax-deductible and receipts are available at the library. Thanks to everyone who has contributed time, donated books, purchased books, or made a charitable contribution to Friends of the Snoqualmie Library.
Membership in the Friends group offers you the opportunity to share your views, donate your time, and lend your talents to make the Snoqualmie Library the best it can be. It's easy to join, and fun to be involved. Annual membership costs $10 for individuals and $20 for families. To learn more, call 425.888.1223 and ask for Irene, or just stop by the library for a brochure and application.
Meetings are held twice a year in March and September at the library on the third Wednesday at 7pm, and at other times when necessary.
Share your belief in the importance of libraries, love of books, make new friends, and invest your time and energy in expanding opportunities for children, families and seniors in and around our community. Be a Friend!
