A Night in the Life Concert
Presented by Recess Monkey
Lots can happen when the lights go out! The three elementary school teachers of Recess Monkey take families on an epic kid-centric adventure through the night, pairing lullabies with high-energy dance songs. Kids will strap on an imaginary Jet Pack and soar through the nighttime sky, meet a ukulele-playing space alien and then dive deep into a black hole to discover oddities and lesser-known monsters on the other side. Recess Monkey has been praised by NPR, People Magazine, TIME Magazine, and audiences across the country for their unique blend of teacher experience and spot-on musicality that make them an ideal first family rock show!

Reading Buddies
Help your child love reading while making a new friend! Children ages 5 to 8 are invited to stop by the Children’s Area of the Mercer Island Library from 2-4pm for a 20 minute reading session with a local teen. Teen volunteers have literacy training. The program runs on Mondays through July 16.
