King County Library System - Computer Closed Bid Opportunity
KCLS is in the process of upgrading its library branches with updated computers and related equipment. This is done roughly every 3-4 years resulting in a surplus of equipment through out the library system. The used equipment surplus will include approximately 300+ pieces of CPU units, monitors, printers, keyboards and accessories (including new and recycled toner cartridges).
We would like to invite all interested buyers/parties to attend the computer surplus preview on the above listed dates.

Public previews will be held at the King County Library System Preston Warehouse (address above) for the surplus computers and equipment.

Potential bidders will be given an hour to inspect the marked computer surplus at the specified location based on the above noted date/time schedule. KCLS staff will be available on site; however, all equipment will be sold AS IS and no additional technical information will be provided by KCLS.
Those who are interested in purchasing the entire lot will be given till Thursday, February 2 (5pm) to provide KCLS with a closed bid amount for the entire surplus lot.
Please remember that winning bid takes all.
Please do not bid if you are unable to purchase the entire lot. KCLS will not fragment any part of this surplus equipment.
KCLS will NOT be responsible for the removal and delivery of the lot. It will be the full responsibility of the winning bidder to remove the entire lot on February 7, 2012.

The proposal should clearly be marked on the outside of the transmittal package with the following information:
Organization's or Individual's name
SEALED COMPUTER SURPLUS BID PROPOSAL
Bids received by KCLS after 5pm (Pacific Time) February 2, 2012 will not be considered. Late proposals will be destroyed. Bids received before the due date will be held in a secured area until the time of review.
Bidders will need to provide KCLS with the following information:
1) Organization's or Individual's name
2) Address, phone and email (if applicable)
3) Bid amount for the entire lot.
4) How and when the bidder would like to be contacted on the award date, providing they are the winner.
KCLS will not deliver.
The award announcement will take place by 3pm on Friday, February 3, 2012 and the winner will personally be notified. KCLS will not be responsible for contacting any of the other submitting bidders; however, the winning name will be posted online at this link.
Sealed Bid - Terms & Conditions
1. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD "AS IS-WHERE IS," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES.
2. All auction sales will be documented and filed in a public record. The bids and amounts thereof shall be prima facie evidence of the circumstances of the sale, and all disagreements will be resolved with this record.
3. Product descriptions are NOT GUARANTEED. The descriptions have been prepared from information believed to be reliable and every effort has been made to ensure accuracy; however, the King County Library System is not liable for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the catalog and no sale shall be invalidated due to any inaccuracy. Bidders are responsible to thoroughly inspect before bidding and to satisfy themselves of such matters as year, make, model, or condition.
4. The King County Library System reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
5. The King County Library System reserves the right to withdraw from sale any of the items listed or to sell at this auction items not listed.
6. The King County Library System is not responsible for any loss or damages of auction items not removed by Purchaser from the auction site by close pick up deadline. If the winning bidder elects not to provide payment after the listed deadline, they will forfeit their auction to the next highest proposal received.
7. PAYMENT AND SCHEDULED REMOVAL AND DELIVERY
Payments must be made in full prior to release of any property.
A. The full amount of the awarded bid must be paid by February 3, 2012 on the day of pickup.
B. Payment must be made in the form of a CASHIERS CHECK for the full bided amount. No other form of payment will be accepted.
C. The Cashier Check IS TO BE MADE PAYABLE TO:
King County Library System
8. TAXES: State taxes will not be added to the proposed amount of winning bid
9. Bidders failing to comply with the above Terms of Payment and Removal may be removed from the bidders list. In addition, future bids from those bidders not in compliance with the Terms and Conditions of sale may not be accepted by KCLS.
NOTE: Condition of items offered is NOT GUARANTEED. Deficiencies, when listed by the owning agencies, are indicated in the item description, however, absence of deficiencies in the item description DOES NOT MEAN the item may not have deficiencies. BIDDERS ARE CAUTIONED TO THOROUGHLY INSPECT PRIOR TO BIDDING.
