List of Refundable and Nonrefundable Items



The following items are refundable if they are returned, accompanied by a receipt, within one year of payment.

  • Hardcover Books
  • Magazines
  • DVDs- if the set is complete and is playable
  • Videos- if the set is complete and is playable
  • CDs- if the set is complete and is playable
  • Cassettes- if the set is complete and is playable
  • Books on tape- if the set is complete and is playable
  • Books on CD- if the set is complete and is playable
  • Learning kits- sets must be complete
  • E-audio- must include the player, cassette adapter, headphones, and battery cover and holder

 

The following items are nonrefundable:

  • Books on tape or CD sets that are missing items
  • Pieces of multi-part sets, such as Books to Grow On and Discovery or Literacy kits. Many multi-part sets contain books, cassettes, CDs, puppets and other items
  • Paperback books, which have a short lifespan and are not catalogued
  • Choice Reads, which are paperback books
  • Any non-catalogued books-(children's board books)
  • Comic books
  • Videos without a case
  • DVDs without a case
  • Items missing barcodes
  • Items missing informational literature- such as a CD or tape jacket
  • Books missing more than five pages
  • Damaged or otherwise unusable items
  • Books missing an accompanying CD or software
  • Materials that require rebinding
  • Videos that are visibly damaged
