What is Telephone Notification?

The system calls you by telephone to notify you about:
  • Items that are being held for you and are ready to pick up
  • Items that are overdue
What is Telephone Renewal?
You can call in to the Telephone Renewal system to find out about:
  • Renewals – Renew items you have checked out
  • Holds – Find out if holds are waiting for you to pick them up
  • Due dates – Hear a list of items you have checked out and their due dates
  • Fines – Hear a list of outstanding charges on your record

How can I call Telephone Renewal?
You can call Telephone Renewal with a touch tone telephone. You will need your library card. The phone number for Telephone Renewal is 1-800-945-2452

How does Telephone Renewal work?
When you call Telephone Renewal, it answers and plays the main menu. Press 1 for your library record or press 2 to hear a library message.

If you press 1, the system asks you for your library card number. Enter the library card number on your telephone’s keypad and press the pound key (#). The system will repeat the barcode back to you. Press pound again to confirm.

Use the telephone keypad to select the option you want:
• To renew items you have checked out, press 1
• To hear what items you currently have checked out, press 2
• To hear which items are being held for you and the pickup location of those holds, press 3
• To hear your current charges, press 4

At any time, you may end the call by hanging up.
