If an item is eligible for freezing you may delay its delivery. Holds that may be frozen have a check box under the freeze column on the right side of the holds page. Items that have a status of Check Shelf can not be frozen
To *freeze items on your holds list, follow these steps:
Step 1. Log in to your account with your library card number and four digit PIN.
Step 2. Click on the Requests (Holds) link under Account Summary to view
your holds list.
Step 3. On the holds list, select the items you would like to freeze using the check boxes to the right of the title.
Step 4. Click on Update My Holds (important last step!).
*Any item that has a status of Check Shelf can not be frozen.
**Freezing an item will prevent the hold from being filled, while other holds will continue to fill until the person with the frozen hold reaches as high as second in line.
The hold will not be filled while it is in the frozen state.
