Using The Book Bag Feature

The book bag feature is a handy tool to assist patrons with placing hold on more than one item at a time. It is not a wish list as it does not have the ability to keep items in store after one account session is closed.
It is a tool that will assist library users with placing holds more effectively on materials when more than one item is desired. Using book bag allows users to select a number of items and only enter in the library card one time and reserve them all.
These are the steps that you would take:
First select an item that you would like to place a hold on.

Click on the ADD TO BOOK BAG button:
This will allow you to hold a number of items in a book bag in order to place holds on more than one item at a time.
Continue to select items and add them to your book bag-when the item has been added the icon will change to
ADDED TO BOOK BAG
If at some point in this process-you change your mind and want to empty the book bag, just click on the
EMPTY BOOK BAG button this will remove the entire contents of the book bag.
When finished selecting items and ready to place the holds, click on the
VIEW BOOK BAG button in order to place the batch hold. CLick on the PLACE HOLD ON ALL button.

This will take you to the screen where you need to enter your card number and pin.

Enter card number and pin.
On the next screen, choose a pickup location for pick up from the drop down menu.

Select the type of hold. (Here users may encounter issues if pop-up blockers are installed on their computers. Press and hold the control key which will override the pop up blocker on Internet Explorer.)
Once holds have been successfully placed, the item status will change to request successful.

If you would like to save a batch of items that you have selected for use at a later time-use the Export Book Bag button ![]()
You will find this button after saving items to the Book Bag and selecting View Book Bag ![]()

You may Send a copy of the list to an email address or print it by selecting Screen or you may save a copy to the computer by selecting the Local Disk option.
