Talk Time, ESL, & Citizenship Programs

In-Library Literacy Classes | Other ESL/Literacy Classes in the Area (PDF)

Many of our libraries offer free classes, including ESL, Talk Time and Citizenship!

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are for people learning to read, write, and speak English. Most classes require registration and an assessment test to evaluate your English verbal and written skill level. To register, contact the library nearest you that provides ESL classes.

Talk Time is an informal conversation session. Practice your English skills through conversation and activities while meeting people from around the world! Learn about American culture and share yours too. Talk Time is lead by English speaking volunteers. NO registration is needed, just come and participate at the library nearest you that provides Talk Time classes.

Literacy Towards Citizenship classes help you prepare to become a U.S. citizen. In these classes, you will learn about the naturalization process and how to study for your interview. Classes are lead in English by volunteers. No registration is needed, just come and participate at the library nearest you that provides Citizenship classes.
