The tape begins with a diagram of the head and throat showing all the
parts involved in speaking. Each sound is demonstrated by a native speaker
to show differences between the sound at the beginning, middle, and end of
a word. A diagram shows the position of the teeth, tongue, and lips for the
sounds. For the advanced student who needs help with pronouncing American

Ready for Adult Phonics

Although this video series was not designed for ESL, it can be used by
intermediate to advanced students who have some familiarity with the alphabet.
The presentation is simple and will help with both reading and pronouncing
English. Most of the instruction is done with a slow and pleasant tone of
voice. The vowels and consonants are spelled out and spoken.
