Volunteer Opportunities
As a Tech Tutor, you have the opportunity to teach others how to use personal computers and those provided at our KCLS libraries. At the Vashon Library, you will teach 1-2 basic computer classes, once a month in our meeting room. We provide basic computer class manuals which are used for your curriculum outline. NetMaster Volunteers help KCLS achieve our goal of providing free and relevant computer instruction to patrons. Please contact the Vashon Library for more information, 206.463.2069.
As a Study Zone Volunteer, you will provide free homework-assistance for students K-12 who "drop in" after school. Your commitment is for one weekday afternoon for two hours throughout the school year (excluding major holidays and school vacations). New tutor orientations are held every three to four weeks from September through June at our Service Center in Issaquah. Please contact the Vashon Library for more information, 206.463.2069.
