Library Volunteers

Library volunteers other than Study Zone, Tech Tutors, Citizenship, Talk Time and Outreach volunteers are recruited, selected and managed directly from the community libraries.
KCLS typically receives more inquiries from potential volunteers than we have volunteer tasks available. Most Library Volunteers average 5-7 hours per month. Please consider this when looking to fulfill community service for schools or diversion programs.
Library Volunteer opportunities are not currently listed online. Please call or visit the library where you are interested in volunteering to find out if they have openings that are a good fit for your schedule.
We almost always recruit for volunteers in the Words On Wheels Outreach program (must be at least 18), as well as for Study Zone.
Our capacity for Library Volunteers under age 14 is extremely limited and must be discussed with library staff.
The Bellevue Library is not currently recruiting new volunteers, due to the garage construction project.
