1904: Auburn's first library operates from a drug store's back room

1914: Completion of a new library at 3rd and Auburn Avenue, funded by a $9,000 Carnegie Corporation grant

1964: Dedication of a new 12,000-square-foot building at 9th and H Street SE

1997: Approval of KCLS annexation and funding of a new 15,000-square-foot building in Les Gove Park

1998: KCLS annexation

1999: Groundbreaking of the new Auburn Library

2000: Opening at Les Gove Park

2012: Completion of Capital Bond expansion project

2012: Reopening of the 20,000-square-foot expanded library, attended by more than 250 people
