1917: First Black Diamond library opens inside of a hotel

1943: KCLS begins bi-monthly bookmobile service after the library closes

1944: A local teacher refurbishes and reopens the library

1948: Formation of a Library Board

1957: Library moves to a teacher's cottage on Lawson Street

1959: Black Diamond contracts for KCLS library services

1968: Library moves to the Municipal Building

1990: KCLS annexation

1991: Moves to 2,000 square-foot site on Roberts Drive

2008: 150 people attend the opening of the new 5,000 square-foot library
